Green Restaurant Initiative

Asheville is America’s first Green Dining Destination™ as recognized by the Green Restaurant Association, the leading national green restaurant certifier. Asheville became the first city in the United States to have a significant density of green certified restaurants in November 2012 through a partnership between the Blue Ridge Sustainability Institute, the Green Restaurant Association, and the Asheville Independent Restaurants.

If you are an Asheville restaurant interested in going green, please contact us and see the resources available on our site: Efficiency Education, Cooking Methods, and Maintenance Tips.
